The foreign kid

One sunny day Jackie, a nine year old boy arrived in NZ off a long trip from China. After a few days of packing he went to school. He didn’t want to go to school but his mother made him so he could get educated, but on his first day of going to Karori Normal School he got bullied , terribly. He got a black eye, with grazes all his legs and bruises all over his arms. He had to limp home after school and his mother screamed.

“Ahh, what happened to you, my baby are you hurt, tell me that you’re not hurt.”

Jackie then replied with an angry “ I hate NZ all the kids hurt me.”

Jackie stayed in this school for three terms and when he was just about to leave there was another foreign, but she was a girl and her name was Akello. Jackie and Akello both got brutally bullied and also got called the ‘foreign’ kids. They both started to like each other because they always saw each other.

Now all the ‘normal’ kids started to actually think about what they have been doing and they thought they didn’t want to be bullied. Akello and Jackie started to fit in and they eventually made other friends.

Akello and Jackie were now best pals, always doing things together like, homework, school work, lunch, morning tea.  They were now at the end of year eight and they thought they were going to the same high school but, then Akello moved houses, moved schools, and moved friends.

And it restarts…
